Tour of Hanuman Dhoka, historic seat of past royals, the old Royal Palace Complex dedicated to Malla and late Shah Monarch, designated as a World Heritage Site. Tour takes you to a unique temple built from the wood of a single tree and thus known as Kasthamandap, where the name Kathmandu derived from also known as Maru Satal, and built-in 1596 A.D. by King Laxmi Narsingh Malla. 9: 30 a.m. or 10 a.m. Drive to Bouddhanath Stupa for an hour tour After a wonderful tour of old Durbar Square, walk to the car park and drive east from the city to reach a beautiful complex at Bouddhanath huge Stupa. Listed in World Heritage Sites and as well the largest Buddhist shrine and a Stupa of South Asia. For Buddhists, it is called a Chorten which was built in the 6th century A.D. by King Man Deb. Perched on three tiers terraces, when seen from above or with bird eye view takes a relevant shapes of a lotus flower. A sacred monument for Buddhist followers this huge Stupa encircled by prayer wheels and colorful market, also known as small Tibet due to local who lives around the area of Tibetan origin and with similar culture. The most interesting is Lord Buddha's eyes on four cardinal direction that gives a vivid flash around four cardinal directions, the area around with many Mahayana Buddhism faith monasteries. 12: 30 p.m. or 1 p.m. Lunch break at a nice restaurant around Bouddhanath Enjoying, pleasant and interesting time, the guide will take you to a nice restaurant within the Bouddhanath complex. Where you can enjoy lunch with the backdrop of Bouddhanath Stupa. 01 p.m. or 1: 30 p.m. Short drive to Pashupatinath temple a less than hour tour From Bouddhanath, a short drive to reach the holy Hindu temple of Pashupatinath a marvelous three-tier golden pagoda rooftop, the temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. Non-Hindu is not allowed to enter the main temple premises, however guide will take to a nice spot. (Birth anniversary of Lord Shiva). 1: 30 p.m. or 2 p.m. Drive to Buddhanilkantha and visit the temple After an interesting moment at Pashupatinath temple area, drive takes you north at the end of Kathmandu valley rim to reach at Buddhanilkantha, also called Narayanthan. A magnificent Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu or Narayan, where you can witness Lord Vishnu lying on a bed of serpents, in the middle of the pious pool seems like floating on a water. The surrounding pond represents the sea, this beautiful sleeping statue of Lord Vishnu belief, it was built in the 5th century A.D. late and past king of Nepal was not allowed to visit this place for particular reasons and unknown.
